About Clock Block
Clock Block is a morning-routine app for iPhone that uses Apple's Screen Time framework to lock distracting apps until a time you choose. You set an alarm and an unlock time; your chosen apps stay locked until then. No account, no ads, no tracking.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Clock Block work?
Pick your wake-up time, pick your unlock time, and pick which apps to block. Clock Block uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to restrict access to those apps until your unlock time arrives.
Which apps can I block?
Any app on your device. Social media, games, news, email — whatever tends to pull you in first thing in the morning. You choose the list, and you can change it at any time.
Does Clock Block need special permissions?
Yes. The app asks for Screen Time / Family Controls permission so it can apply the blocks you configure. This is an Apple-provided system, and it's the same permission used by other focus and parental-control apps. You can review or revoke the permission at any time in the iOS Settings app under Screen Time.
Can I bypass the block if I really need to?
Clock Block is meant to hold you to the boundary you set — that's the point. Because the block is enforced by Apple's Screen Time, you can always disable it through iOS Settings if truly necessary, but the friction is intentional.
Does Clock Block collect my data?
No. The app runs entirely on your device and does not send your app list, schedule, or any personal data to a server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email hello@clock-block.xyz with a short description of the issue or idea. If it's a bug, including your iOS version and device model helps a lot.
